A Brief History of Me
I was supposed to be a lawyer. Then I came to my senses and found a much more enjoyable way to make a living arguing over words.
Since then, I've built a career as a copywriter and creative director, developing campaigns for some of the world's most recognizable brands. I've worked across industries, audiences and just about every medium, turning creative challenges into ideas that connect.
I believe great work takes curiosity, collaboration and knowing when to fight for an idea—or when to kill a headline you've spent all day defending.
I take the work seriously. Myself, considerably less so.
Please Mind Your Language
Every writer has a style guide. Mine comes with a few exceptions.
-
If a preposition is hanging, I assume it had a fair trial.
-
I've spent 45 minutes deciding between a comma and a period. Both made compelling arguments.
-
Overruled. Unless you've got a better idea. Then I'm listening.
-
I welcome constructive criticism. Destructive criticism should at least be entertaining.
-
Exactly.
